Rick has been a strong leader for Continuous Improvement in Product Engineering & Program Management. He developed our Best Business Practice (BBP) process for Engineering to track efficiency & effectiveness and turn Best Practices into company standards. Our CEO said, "if we get BBP into Engineering it will be a small miracle". Well, we did it and the process is still in place today. Rick first implemented this system in our Automotive business and built it from the ground up for 24 different product lines. Over a 5 year period, our NA Automotive Seating Product Line saved a net $70m.

I saw first-hand the results teams achieved working with Rick. The results were real and they were remarkable.
I worked with Rick for nearly 20 years at Johnson Controls. He has a great understanding of continuous improvement methods and tools, including Six Sigma, and years of practical experience implementing them. He is a thought leader for applying these concepts to our engineering efforts globally. He has driven significant improvements in the way Engineering is measured and executed. - Chris Cremer, Global Continuous Improvement Leader; Lean/6Sigma Training/Mentoring, Problem Solving, M&A integration, Quality Control |
I was impressed with the command and control that Rick had of the program he was responsible for creating gloablly in Johnson Controls. His leadership and professional management supported a succesful design through very turbulent times, while meeting budget, quality, and timeline goals. He was relentless in meeting his objectives, knew the details very well, and successfully led a cross functional global team. He can be counted on to deliver.
